I had quite an adventure today. Let's cut the story short,

True story.

I was glad that most of the parts of today's adventure wasn't planned.

Thank you to the 3 kids who I never hang out with during school breaks. Therefore I've officially spent time with/ met  all of le partners-in-crime during school breaks, even though not all of them at the same time.

I did manage to fulfill a friend's request, even though le friend had a minor injury. I was glad that I made everyone happy. The end.

11.

Happy 3rd day of Syawal. Conquered 11 houses for the Raya visit with partners-in-crime.
-very happy that I get to meet with most of them.
-became the driver of the day along with another 2 drivers.
-11 destinations in approximately 9.5hrs, which was my longest "road trip".
-drove in the downpour, managed to be a safe driver& sent the 2 passengers safely to their destination.
-knew the meaning of "lopak air" today.

p.s My apologies because I can't reveal the full coverage of today's adventure. Feel free to ask me in person if you're eager to know all about it.
p.p.s Thanks, Partners-in-crime for making my day super meaningful by your presence.

Expelliarmus!

Greetings, Earthlings. I come in peace. Take me to to your leader. Well, that was random.
Let's cut to the chase.

Woke up at 0330hrs, early enough to beat the alarm clock, whilst almost everyone is still drawing maps on their pillow(s). Started the journey to the airport at 0430hrs. Dad tagged along because he wouldn't let me drive. So the back seat belongs to me the whole journey. I really love the scenery and situation along the way. It's still the same minus the vehicles and sunlight. Replace them with the morning mist and fresh air.

The aftermath of yesterday's downpour is still visible.
Reached the airport in less than 30 minutes. Helped to settle the self check-in and luggage. Bid farewell and straight went to the viewing area.
The airport mist

En route home.
p.s I love airports and airplanes but I dislike farewells.
p.p.s My apologies for the low quality photos.Try not to click on the photos for better resolution. I blame the mist for fogging up my mobile's lens. Seriously. Sorry mist, for blaming you.

-Intermission-
Around 0810hrs, my aunt phoned me to check for MARA PILN 2011 scholarship results. I was about to procrastinate but then I realised it was impolite to do so. So, I switched on Dad's PC and visited MARA's website. Typed my IC number and closed my eyes. I didn't dare to look and at the same time praying. After a few seconds I gained all my strength and confidence to open my eyes and face the music.I took a peak on the monitor and managed to take a glance at some details and I went to the next room to get Mom. Gratefully, I got good news! After reading the details, I asked her whether I'm going to Labuan for the Matriculation Programme. Mom said no need. Hence, I'm staying! Not going anywhere far yet.

Back to the story.

D1&D2 left home around 0800hrs to fetch S2&S3 at their homes respectively. The meeting point was at S4's house. D2 and S3 arrived later than the other two. All of the 4 kids waited for S4. Turns out that S4 had just woke up after an hour's sleep. S4 stayed up all night to bake. While waiting, the 4 kids entertained themselves with life updates of themselves and their friends. After the long wait S4's mom served us some cakes baked by S4 for breakfast. D2 announced to the others about MARA scholarship results. Gratefully D2 received good news.

Around 0930hrs they left for D1's farm in 2 vehicles and reached the destination. Parked the vehicles and they met D1's parents. They enjoyed D1's home interior for a while. S2,S3,S4 and D2/S5 got very excited and giddy since most of them are city kids and they hardly get opportunities to experience the environment in the countryside.

Next, they insisted D1 to bring them on a tour around the farm. D1 brought the others to visit the goats. D1 didn't dare to open the gates so they walked around the farm while waiting for D1's dad. Finally they visited the goats.

Subsequently spending time with the goats, they proceeded to see some plants.

Not long after that, they went back to D1's casa for brunch. Everyone enjoyed the delicious meal and the fresh coconut drink prepared by D1's parents. Then, they settled down for a while, had conversations and enjoyed the cool breeze. After a few thousand minutes D1 brought everyone for a ride. S2 drove them to some village and they visited some beach. to D2, that was one of the most depressing beaches ever. Definitely not the perfect spot for group dates. Don't believe D2? See for yourself.

Later, D1 drove them back to D1's casa. D2 decided not to leave yet when D1 mentioned that the goats were going to be set free for a period of time. So, they decided to relax and enjoy the view, the cool wind and the snacks.

Before leaving S2 suggested that they should visit the beach. D1 drove them. The view was super-incredible. Unfortunately, D1 left one of D1's slippers at the casa. Something happened before they left. S2 managed to find someone else's slipper lying on the beach for D1 to use temporarily.

Everyone spent approximately 15 minutes to enjoy the view, the heat and more and left the beach at 1500hrs. Thanked D1's parents for everything and bid them farewell. D2 drove S4,S2 and S3 back home safely. The day would've been better with R0625, H0316, A0221,L0801,S0703 and the others whom I didn't mention.

One Of The Best Days Ever! Part 4

Before I start with this post,I would like to list out the cast members for the day. Please be noted that names/identities will be hidden and some parts of the real story will not be revealed for safety reasons. So, to the 6 kids involved, you guys know what's happening. To the others, you will have to bear with me for a while,if you're smart enough, I'm sure that you'll be able to crack up these codes. Do feel free to ask me if anyone wants the full coverage of the story. =D

Cast:

Director/ Main Idea: RA
Driver/ Supporting Actor #1: AM/AA
Victim: JJ
Driver/Supporting Actor #2: LS
Supporting Actor #3: AB
Supporting Actor #4: FJ

Foreword: I'm grateful that everything went well and everyone had a splendid time today.

AM/AA left the house around 0920hrs to pick up RA. Then they went to AB's and JJ"s house. At the same time they had LS and FJ on standby. On the way RA persuaded JJ to make videos on AM/AA's laptop. With out JJ's consent, AA/AM managed to catch the glimpse of LS's vehicle and started tailgating few thousand centimetres back with another vehicle in front of AM/AA, hoping that JJ wouldn't realise anything. Unfortunately, when reaching a traffic light, the vehicle in front suddenly took a left turn, causing LS's vehicle to be in sight. AM/AA slowed down, hoping that the traffic light would turn green but sadly it didn't.

JJ then realise LS's vehicle and then RA, AB and AM/AA started making assumptions in order to cover things up. They were denying that LS was the driver, at the same time they said the opposite. Things got more obvious when both vehicles went the same way. So everyone was assured that LS was in the vehicle. Then they started making more assumptions regarding the person sitting next to LS. Upon their arrival at the destination, LS went in the wrong way, AM/AA went in the opposite way causing the person next to LS to be revealed. AB, RA and AM/AA was "thrilled" to see FJ riding with LS. Both vehicles were parked and few moments later secrets were revealed.

Went into the place and decided to go kayaking.

AM/AA and LS shared a 3-seater kayak. Both of them were unexperienced (maybe) so they had trouble navigating the kayak but they did get the hang of it, eventually. FJ joined them and they took turns to row the kayak since they were only 2 oars. Later then AB, JJ and RA joined in; AB with a single kayak while JJ and RA took the 2-seater kayak. While having fun, suddenly there was downpour but they continued kayaking. Since the 3-seater kayak went in first so it was the first to go out. AM/AA, FJ and LS ended their kayaking session earlier than the other 3. After that, FJ and LS realised that AM/AA was wearing the life-jacket for kids. AM/AA didn't mind at all since the other life-jackets were soggy and wet but the one AM/AA chose was clean and appeared to be new.

Gratefully neither one of them fell into the water. After the others ended their session, everyone dried up in front of a massive fan and managed to record a video in front of it.

Subsequently, everyone agreed to proceed to go to the beach which was located at the other side of the city. So, to be fair, RA joined FJ in LS's vehicle while AM/AA drove with JJ and AB as the passengers. The roads to the beach were remade, so AM/AA drove cautiously in order to get use to the new environment.

Long new roads...

Reached the beach around 1320hrs and had a wonderful picnic.

Serenity and tranquility

Took photos, walked along quarter of the beach, enjoyed the beautiful scenery (minus the part where stuff that shouldn't be on the beach were present), received extra Vitamin-D from the sun, made "sandcastles", fake-nap, sunbathed etc. Left the beach around 1530hrs. LS drove FJ home while AM/AA sent JJ, AB to their homes and RA to the pick-up point safely.

I would like to thank everyone for making today's plan a success and for everything. Definitely one of the best days ever. It could've been better if we had more time to prepare and more guests at today's event, but hey, something is way better than nothing at all. XDDD

One Of The Best Days Ever! Part 2

Let's recap events occurring for the past several days.

7/4/2011

Finally I was able to attend the driving test since I had to postpone it twice, for 2 weeks in a row due to the business trip with Mom.

Met some familiar faces including some partners-in crime. Waited for more than 90 minutes for the list of names.

I was selected for Session 1, the 17th out of 21 candidates. Session 1 were evaluated in the circuit while Session 2 had the on-the-road test.

Tried my best to keep calm so that I won't mess up anything. Did the ascending the hill, parking and lastly the turning. While waiting to be evaluated, I purposely stared up into the sky so I won't be distracted by the others.

After passing the circuit evaluation, had to wait again for the on-the-road test. Managed to strike up conversations with the other kids, just to keep my mind off the messing-up-anything part. The problem I encounter was I forgot to ask their names. If I did, they would automatically be my acquaintances, but sadly they remain as strangers to me.

Astonishingly, my partners-in-crime in Session 2 ended the driving test earlier than me! Gratefully, I assume that as a good sign so I could focus. Had my on-the-road evaluation around noon. I was assigned to go through Route C, in which to my opinion, was the most difficult route among the 3 routes. But hey, I accept the challenge. I made a promise to myself earlier that I would defeat those JPJ officers and that day would be my last time going to the driving institution (except when I have to collect my probation driver's license).

I got used to having lessons with Uncle in the afternoon, I guess that was a bonus point to me. I didn't have to change the gear since everything was green light. When I came near the traffic light, I slowed down, since it was a fine day, the traffic light turned green when I almost reach it so I sped up. Same case happened at the roundabout, the traffic wasn't that bad. I gave the signal to enter Route C but the officer said "Not necessary, it's peak hour. just drive us back". I was quite puzzled for a while because the officer kept looking at his watch. I wonder why was he in such a hurry, maybe he doesn't want to get stuck in the traffic congestion or he's worried that he was going to miss his lunch break. So, I followed his instructions and drove us back to the circuit. Gratefully, I passed! What an awesome birthday present, from JPJ! Wait, that doesn't sound right. I earned my birthday present from JPJ. That sounds better! Tee hee...

After 10 hours of D-lessons, more than 20 trips of illegal driving, L-license, ADIOS!

While waiting for Dad to pick me up, managed to meet Uncle. As he was approaching me, he was giving me a thumb up, asking me whether I passed or not. I gave him 2 thumbs up as a reply. I could see his face light up. I told him about the part where I didn't have to go through Route C. He said that the case did happen a lot, the officer was confident enough that I could drive well. So I thank Uncle for everything, including the nickname he gave to me- Rain. I'm not kidding. I could hear him say that name clearly, with full enunciation.

Uncle also said that I might be able to collect the license in a week's time and drive legally. Anyone who wants me to be their driver, don't hesitate to ask but you will need to book earlier since my schedule will be quite tight! ;D

Lastly, had fever after a few hours upon arriving home from the circuit due to the extremely hot afternoon.

p.s This song is awesome!

One Of The Best Days Ever! Part 1

Yup, that's right! Happy 18th birthday to me! I shall miss the past 17 years of living. Even though I'm feeling unwell but I managed to get through this awesome, splendid, superb-tastic day!

Gratefully, everything has been good news lately:

Defeated the JPJ officers in the driving test yesterday. Hopefully I'm able to obtain my D-license by next week.

My 7 closest buddies made a surprise birthday party/ get together/ family gathering. The story behind that matter is definitely brilliant. Thumbs up to the masterminds and everybody.

JPA scholarship results were out at 1500 hrs. Gratefully, all of my closest buddies who applied for that scholarship successfully got shortlisted for the interview. I wish them all the best for their interview and I pray for everyone's success in facing the challenges of life and everything. We can do it! I believe that we're able to soar through the sky and touch it as long as we work hard to achieve our dreams.

p.s I'll update more about today later on. Need to get some rest. Pray for my recovery.

p.p.s Enjoy the videos I uploaded. The 3rd one is a short Pixar film from Pixar's Up! I really adore Dug! His birthday is today too! Don't believe me? Watch the video, pump up the volume, if necessary. I really have a lot to learn in order to get out of my little-kid mind!

Nothing Much.

Spent the day with my new D-instructor and also the unclassified JPJ officer- Mom.
Surprisingly she's having 2 days off due to having flu but yet she volunteered to be the person sitting next to the driver.Kamsahamnida Eomma! Get well soon! =D

It's been 3 weeks since my last D-lesson, which means the driving mood and experiences had faded. Not to brag, but everything went well, drove round the 3 routes twice and still very much alive.

Realised that it's the season where almost everyone gets sick. Currently being the doctor and the assistant at home. Ha! Pursuing a career in the medical field is definitely beyond my interest, same goes to teaching. No offense, people! ;D Be sure to consume lots of H20, take care of your hygiene and also the environment around you. I might rant some more on this matter later since I did pretty good in EST. Tee hee...

Why won't they update the National Service website for the new list of trainees for 2011's 2nd batch?? The waiting and suspense will KILL me, literally.

Daredevil??

Yup. That's the word which can describe me lately. Why?
Before I elaborate more on that, again, I would like to emphasize that none of the following story is true to any JPJ officers out there.

Lately I've been cruising around town, with a guardian, of course. As usual, not obeying the speed limit for newbies since that would definitely risk everyone's life. So... That's it. I decided not to give any extra details on the matter for safety reasons.

D-lesson the other day was fine. went through the circuit& route B. While on the road, I OBEYED the speed limit. It was awesome having more than 10 cars tailgating. I was having the evil look, ALMOST like this:

Sometimes I purposely decelerate just to see whether any vehicles dare to overtake me. But they didn't.
Didn't drove home since Dad offered to pick me up.

p.s Mom and Dad agreed that I have another extra 2 hours of lesson before the J-Test. Still unsure whether I'll be having the test this week or next week. I'll confirm that later.

4 Down. 4 To Go.

Whoa! Today's lesson was awesome-tastic. Minus the part where the day is too sunny& too bright for a person like me. Too bad I didn't bring along an umbrella (what for?!) and I forgot to put my shades on. What a give away!

I arrived at the circuit quite early. Because the early bird catches the worm, I was in time to meet a couple of partners-in-crime (who their names must not be revealed) before the lesson started. It was great to catch up with old times and also the latest updates about our D-lessons.

Uncle, for being a punctual person, arrived at the circuit at 1200hrs sharp (thumbs up!). Then we started on the going-up-the-hill part. Again, not to brag, after doing the same routine a few times, I successfully got the hang of it. Did some parallel-parking& turning. Then I drove through Route A before going home. The traffic on the way home was unsuitable for newbies, but I managed to arrive home safely and very much alive.

I'm unsure about when the next lesson will be held but I'm really looking forward to it. 4 hours down, 4 hours to go.  Hasta La Luego & Adios.

p.s. I wonder when will I be going for the music class. I don't think that will a surprise to me because I overheard Mom talking about the matter with Dad. I didn't mean to eavesdrop or anything but she spoke too loud the other day. If it's true, I'm 100% prepared for that "surprise". Cool.

p.p.s I think I worked out my biceps while doing the ascending the hill part because the handbrake got stuck a few times.

Excess Vitamin D

Went for the 1st driving lesson earlier this afternoon (finally!). Started at 1400hrs, with parallel parking and the 3-point-turning in the circuit. There were a few newbies, like me, were also doing the parallel parking thingy, so we had to take turns. While waiting, I received EXCESS vitamin D. I regretted for not bringing my towel, since I perspire a lot.

Did the same routine a few times and finally got the hang of it. Then the instructor, whom I would preferably call Uncle, told me that we're going on the road. Finally, we could switch on the air conditioner. Uncle showed me the 3 routes; Routes A,B,C. Not to brag but for a newbie, I did pretty good today. But I can't follow the speed limit- 40 km/h. Come on. It's like the highway. The vehicle in front was so far, made me want to catch up& when I look through the rear mirror, there's like cars tailgating behind. After going through route C, drove back to the circuit. Uncle then demo-ed  the going-up-the-hill part.

The best part was Uncle let me drive back home when the lesson ended. Again I didn't obey the speed limit for newbies. Well, it's my 4th driving experience & 2nd time driving a manual transmission vehicle (hey, who's counting? ME! hahaha). Next lesson will be on Monday afternoon. Guess I'll have to bring some sunblock.

Later this evening, I escorted mom to the grocer's. After we got all the kitchen essentials, she requested me to drive us home. I disobeyed the speed limit- AGAIN. I can't help it since it's auto transmission. Need not worry to change any gears. But still we arrived home safely& very much alive. Gratefully.

That's it for now. I guess. Tener un buen dia & adios.

p.s. If there's any JPJ officers reading the last paragraph, none of the story is true.

p.p.s. After a long time hiding in the shadows and then suddenly got exposed to the sunlight, I felt dizzy. Now I know how vampires feel. Pity them though.

p.p.p.s Now I have another responsibility coming up, apart from being my mom's amateur sous chef, the thing I "fear" the most- THE DRIVER. Gasp.

p.p.p.p.s For those who's unsatisfied with my so-called amateur or lame driving experience story for the day, well, that's your problem. I feel very sorry for you.

p.p.p.p.p.s So far-
Driving experience count : 6
Using manual transmission:2
Using auto transmission: 4
